Ms. Kiana is an enthusiastic clinician who strives to provide excellent care and meet the needs of child, adolescent, and adult clients. She has clinical experiences working with foster families, adopted children and families, and at a child advocacy center with parents and children after experiences of trauma/abuse. Kiana uses a holistic approach when working with clients and assists them with grounding and centering themselves in each session to recover from adverse experiences, racism, abuse/neglect, and other life challenges. Her focus areas include trauma-informed care, play therapy, and multicultural counseling.
Kiana is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (APC in the state of Georgia under the supervisor of Dr. Fountain Hardy), National Certified Counselor (NCC), brainspotting practitioner, sand/play therapist (with supervision), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy provider (in training). She graduated with a Master of Science degree from Georgia State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Kiana has been a member of the Play Wellness team since 2020. She feels most connected within herself when she is writing, surrounded by nature, listening to R&B music, or organizing her space. She also recharges by spending time with loved ones.
